Established in 1994, the American Society of Indian Engineers and Architects (ASIE) is a non-profit organization providing a networking platform for engineers and architects of Indian origin in Houston Area and Texas at large. ASIE helps members grow professionally by conducting regular monthly meetings in which experts discuss various topics of interest ranging from engineering to professional ethics. In addition, it has been serving as a key platform for Indian graduates and young professionals for networking and career enhancement through continuing educational seminars, workshops and field trips. ASIE collectively supports the community by volunteering and sponsoring events, and offering annual scholarships to talented young engineers and architects. Over the past 25 years, ASIE has grown from a handful of professionals to as many as 250 annual and life members. In 2019, at its Silver Jubilee Gala, ASIE was recognized by the City of Houston for its community service and professional contribution in the Houston area.
