The State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan is a governmental organization within the Cabinet of Azerbaijan in charge of regulating the urban construction and development and managing architectural activities in our country. The Committee is responsible for protection of the town building and national architectural traditions. In cooperation with executive power and local self-governing bodies, the Committee ensures the effective use of towns’ territories, and takes into consideration natural and local features of historically formed settlements. It also assures creation of the standard-methodological support for implementation of the public town building cadaster, development of the architectural planning and designing solutions of buildings.
