Middle Tennessee Cardiovascular Institute offers a 13 month certificate program in Adult Echocardiography, otherwise known as Cardiac Ultrasound. Prerequisites for the program consist of either a Bachelors Degree in any subject, or an Associates Degree in an Allied Health field. Our program is designed and committed to providing students with critical, dual learning consisting of didactic and hands on classroom instruction, along with clinical training experience. The first 9 weeks consist of classroom training followed by 10 months of clinical training at some of the top hospitals for cardiovascular care in the region. Our program prepares students to sit for the echo registry exams with either ARDMS or CCI, and passing the exam is a requirement for graduation from the program. We are accredited by the Tennessee Board of Higher Education.
