To accomplish this fine art Catherine uses the medium of crystal and glass upon which she engraves designs using the old world technique of intaglio engraving. The engraving tools are a lathe and stone wheels in a variety of diameters and profiles. Using these wheels Catherine literally carves free hand into the crystal to create the art.
