TECHNIK BEGEISTERT e.V.
www.technik-begeistert.orgOur non-profit organization has been founded in 2011 from young adults with the motivation to hand over their own knowledge and experiences from robotic competition to other students. Girls and boys should be inspired for science, technology and robotics. With that, we want to help finding the future engineers and future IT specialist our society really needs. As the largest project our organizations runs the competitions of World Robot Olympiad (WRO) in Germany. WRO is an international robot tournament for students in the age from 6 to 19 years. Teams take part in different competition categories (e.g. playing soccer, solving missions on a field etc.) and can qualify through the local and national tournaments for the yearly WRO International Final. Girls and boys, who take part at WRO competitions, build and program their robots over months and learn how to work in a team on exciting challenges. WRO tournaments take place in many different parts in Germany. In 2019, more than 760 teams took part at 33 regional events. Overall, our organization reaches more than 4.000 girls and boys with the WRO program. Our non-profit organization is supported by different sponsors and more than 500 volunteers who help us to support our mission – to inspire as many young students as possible for science & technology. Do you want to get engaged? Become a sponsor of WRO, bring a WRO event to your town or support us as a sustaining member of our organization. We are looking forward to getting your message at mail@technik-begeistert.org.
