SamaraCare Counseling
www.samaracarecounseling.orgFounded 50 years ago, SamaraCare is a nonprofit, outpatient behavioral health provider servicing six counties in Chicagoland. We provide both in-person and virtual high quality psychological counseling, psychotherapy, and psychiatric treatment to diverse populations across the lifespan including individuals, couples, and families from varied financial means. We also offer customized mental health educational/wellness programming to increase community understanding and reduce the stigma associated with mental health issues. We are uniquely qualified to offer spiritually-integrated care across all faith traditions/life perspectives for clients interested in this option. SamaraCare advances behavioral health equity by providing substantial fee subsidy assistance to under-resourced clients. SamaraCare’s policy is to ensure that its fees for mental health services are not a barrier to accessing care. The Mental Health Access Program (“MHAP”) was created, in tandem with our mission, to discount standard fees, using a sliding fee scale, so that mental health services are more affordable for individual, couples and families experiencing financial hardships.
