Together with educators, parents and families, we will raise children and young people to be leaders of their happiness. The Gifted Kind was established by founder and co-director Genna Masterton in 2019 and incorporated as a social enterprise in 2020 which led to the addition of both Louisa McLean and Caron Barclay as co-directors. Bringing a collective experience of over 35 years within education, youth work, mentorship, leadership and life coaching, The Gifted Kind are on a mission to support and protect the wellbeing and happiness of children and young people and the adults who care for them. At The Gifted Kind, we believe that a fundamental impact can be made within early years education and that #beinghappybeginsearly. In order to realise our vision we have recently embarked on a partnership with Craighead Country Nursery School in East Ayrshire to co-create and co-design an innovative approach for early years education. This approach will focus on building a strong foundation as well as the development of emotional resourcefulness, resiliency and reflectiveness for the practitioners, families and children. We can offer support via: - online and in person workshops for children and young people - online and in person sessions for parents and families with young children - online and in person training for educators - the creation of bespoke materials/resources We are keen to build partnerships and connections with like minded individuals, third and fourth sector organisations, policy makers, early years stakeholders, charities and other social entrepreneurs.
