Home-Start Kirklees is a unique local service, intervening early with vulnerable families helping them organise their lives and make better-informed decisions about the health and well-being of the whole family. Supervised by a professional staff team, our trained and experienced volunteers are role models for parents, helping them develop good routines, encouraging them to interact positively with their children and to build support networks in their local community. The emotional wellbeing and physical health of children are at the heart of everything we do - to ensure they have the best possible start in life, despite the debilitating effects of poverty and disadvantage.
