Holmedal & Husum Offshore AS is organized as a private and independent consulting company providing engineering and management services company for the ship and offshore market. The company has also participated in military ship projects. The company was founded in 1988 and is managed by architect MNAL Bjarte Husum. Past client portfolio includes ship owners, oil companies / operators and engineering consultants to construction yards. The company has experience from and has competence in all phases of the engineering process, including early studies, conceptual design, bid documents for EPC- contracts, detail engineering and yard follow-up. Our special fields are functional layouts, architectural and interior design, multi-discipline technical coordination as well as technical know-how with regards to outfitting materials and components and their suppliers. We also have special qualifications with regards to regulations, standards and other authority requirements and have experience from several ‘’hybrid’’ projects where different authorities and regulations, often contradictory, should be complied with. Control Room design based on ISO 11064 is also one of our special fields.
