Hope Center For Autism
www.hopecenter4autism.orgThe Hope Center offers behavioral intervention for children who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as well as other behavioral issues. We provide Applied Behavioral Analysis as well as academics teaching to the learning style of each child and their individual strengths as well as weaknesses. Goal: To provide behavioral therapy to children with autism by focusing on language skills, cognitive development, self-help and the social and play skills necessary for successful and productive lives. To provide support for families affected by autism. About Autism: People with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) have serious impairments of social, emotional and communication skills. Autistic disorders cover a broad spectrum, ranging from mild to severe, from verbal to non-verbal, from the affectionate to the emotionally distant, from the methodical to the disorganized, and from the gifted to the severely challenged. ASD occurs in all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups and is four times more likely to occur in boys than girls. Philosophy: At the Hope Center we believe that autism is a recoverable disorder, with intense early intervention being vital to the recovery process. Susan and Glenn Wood, along with a group of concerned parents, recognized that North Texas had an urgent need for affordable, effective therapy for children with autism. Through their group efforts, the Hope Center for Autism Fort Worth was founded in June of 2007.
