Freelance consultancy owned by Nigel Burtt [CEng, MIET, AIEMA, BSc. (Hons.), Dipl. Eng.] A Chartered Engineer and member of the IET, Nigel had a 25 year career in electronics manufacturing with Dolby Laboratories, where he was a key member of the corporate team ensuring timely compliance with the RoHS and WEEE Directives. He now works for engineering and metrology company, Renishaw plc. Alongside this work, he became involved with the SMART Group and is now a Director and vice-chair of its Technical committee. When Nigel left Dolby in 2009, he set up a consultancy business (http://www.enjaybee.com) and is currently advising the membership of the International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers on environmental regulation compliance and is working with US-based consultancy Pheonix Technical Group.
