The Estevan Oilfield Technical Society (OTS) is a non-profit organization made up of local oilfield personnel. Started in 1962, the society was formed to unite oilfield workers in the local area through social events and to provide a means to give back to the community in which they were employed. That same perspective holds true today with the society holding major functions throughout the year and promoting community involvement. Events such as our annual golf tournament, curling bonspiel, and occasional scholarship events are held to unite local oilfield professionals. A scholarship is awarded each year for people studying for careers in the oilfield, and more recently, the Lifetime Achievement Award had been added for relevant years and was awarded to people that have spent their careers in the oilfield.
