The International Federation of Aromatherapists (IFA) is the Professional Body of choice for Aromatherapists. The IFA were the first established Governing Body in Clinical and Holistic Aromatherapy in 1985. Our Charity's purpose is the preservation of health and wellbeing by advancing the knowledge, practice of and expertise in Aromatherapy by education, teaching and training. We regulate and accredit standards in Aromatherapy for both the practitioner and the course provider. We assist our members to gain the highest standard of integrity, knowledge and professionalism to protect their clients, the public and the profession. Members enjoy a wide range of benefits to support their practice and keep informed of the latest changes and developments in the field. We offer specialised diploma courses in Aromatherapy and Essential Oils to enable students to gain globally recognised qualifications through our list of accredited centres. We assist training centres to attain the Federations kite mark of professionalism and offer innovative courses to teach. The IFA have pioneered Aromatherapy in NHS Hospitals, Hospices and Care professions and our expertise is shown in our educational programmes and member’s professional treatments.
