PAUA in our world stands for Preschoolers At-home Uniquely Achieving. We believe "ngā tamariki o tātou taonga mo āpōpō" - that children are our treasures for the future. We have amazing home based Educators who care and provide education for small groups of children in their own home. Some countries call this family daycare. Research shows time and time again that group size and low child:adult ratios are key factors in quality outcomes for children. Our aspiration is that each PAUA child treasures their own uniqueness as they venture forward with values and skills, eager to learn, and actively engaging with whānau, community and the environment. PAUA Educators are supported by Visiting Teachers and together they support the learning and development of each child, following and developing their interests. Like every service, we have values that underpin what we do and why we do it: Children are at the heart of all we do - they are our treasures.
