The estate of La Cendrillon is a family owned winery in the South of France located in the village of Ornaisons in Languedoc. Owned by the 7th generations of the Joyeux family, the estate is currently held by Robert who implemented in the 1990 a radical strategic shift and renovation program with the intent to produce organic, gastronomical and fine wines. As of today, the estate counts 123 acres (50 hectares) of vines which are planted at the extremities of the Fontfroide and Boutenac land. The estate converted to organic agriculture and obtained its ECOCERT certification in 2013, in keeping with the conviction that all great wines are born from a preserved and living environment. This approach requires extreme care in order to obtain healthy grapes and juice full of intense flavours. Over the years, several techniques like water management by drop by drop irrigation, growing grass between the vines and enriching the soil with sheep’s manure, have been implemented. The estate produce around 200 000 bottles every year of red, white and rosé wines that are all precisely handcrafted and which are regularly awarded the top grades by renown critics among Languedoc wines.
