The Strike Force enters the 2022 season as a competitive member of the Indoor Football League after the cancellation of their 2020 and 2021 seasons due to COVID restrictions. CEO, Vivian Lin, serves as the first minority woman CEO of a professional football team. "This team serves and represents our diverse community in San Diego. The logo and brand is an homage to the brave men and women who have and currently serve in our armed forces to protect our freedoms. It is truly an honor to bring professional football back home to San Diego," says Lin.
