COAR Peace Mission strives to promote justice, community, and peace in El Salvador through the support of effective programs in health, education and welfare, which assist children and others, not only to develop their own full human potential, but also to contribute to the betterment of the world in which they live. We carry out our mission through supporting The COAR Children's Village is located in Zaragoza, El Salvador. It provides foster care for 100 abandoned children and helps provide the impoverished community with a school for 900 children, grades K-12, a medical/dental clinic, and a pharmacy. It was founded by a Cleveland priest in 1980 to serve the orphans of El Salvador’s civil war, and continues to this day providing services to the very poor.
