The Latin American Travel Association (LATA) is the leading organisation in the United Kingdom representing the interests and ambitions of companies, institutions and organisations that are involved in promoting travel to Latin America. LATA was founded in 1992 to promote travel from the United Kingdom and Europe to Latin America. The association brings together over 350 companies, including tourist boards, tour operators, hotels, wholesalers, media, airlines and overseas members. LATA also promote charitable work in the region through its sister organisation, the LATA Foundation (www.latafoundation.org).
