We are well known as a “family” club with a long and proud history. Established in 1947, Como Jannali JRLFC is more than a football club. We pride ourselves on being a community minded organisation that strives to set ourselves apart from any other by delivering programs and products for both on and off the field. We are committed to building confidence, mateship, loyalty and life skills for all our members. We recognise our important role in the health and wellbeing of our members and leadership role in the wider community. In 2019 we have achieved several significant milestones, including a prestigious nomination for NSWRL Grassroots Club of the Year and awarded the 2019 CSDJRL Club of the Year. We are extremely proud to have been accepted as one of only 19 clubs in NSW for NSWRL Blue Shield accreditation (and the only in the Sutherland Shire) in demonstrating the willingness and capacity to run a quality community sporting club. Blue Shield is a recognition and development program created to assist Junior Rugby League Clubs with the management and improvement of their Clubs. We have met the performance criteria across six key areas: Governance & Accreditation Finance Media & Marketing Facilities Community & Welfare On-Field (Football Operations) A major initiative we have delivered in 2019 is our exclusive Mates 4 MENtal Health program. Research reveals that 6 men commit suicide every day and as a Club we have identified the opportunity work within our community to educate, inform and support those men suffering with mental health issues, so as to make a difference.
