I Can Dream Theatre Inc. (ICDT) is a charitable community organization based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Its primary purpose is to provide adults with special needs opportunities to develop their talents in the performing arts, specifically the areas of acting, singing, dancing and playing musical instruments. It was created as a for profit organization in September 2011 and obtained non-profit status in August 2015. I Can Dream Theatre has performed one major production annually to audiences of approximately a thousand people since then. Through performance, ICDT gives adults with special needs opportunities to develop and reinforce skills that contribute to their lives. Skills that include independence, responsibility, commitment, perseverance, social skills, self confidence and friendship.
