Emmer Development, the first of the Emmer Group companies, was founded in 1954 by Philip I. Emmer. Phil's daughter, Lori Emmer Cain was named President in 2002. Emmer Group is now run by Lori's eldest son, Ryan McGriff, in Gainesville, Florida.
