The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) is the world business organization whose mission is to promote open trade and investment and help business meet the challenges and opportunities of an increasingly integrated world economy. With interests spanning every sector of private enterprise, ICC's global network comprises over 6 million companies, chambers of commerce and business associations in more than 130 countries. Through active engagement with the United Nations, the World Trade Organization, the G20 and other intergovernmental forums ICC conveys international business views and priorities. ICC Germany represents the International Chamber (ICC) in Germany and acts as a permanent liaison between ICC members and the international headquarters. Bringing unrivalled access to national governments, ICC Germany acts as the voice of business on issues addressed under the ICC mandate. ICC Germany also informs the ICC international headquarters on issues and views affecting their business constituencies, ensuring that German business concerns are taken into account in ICC policy recommendations to governments and international organizations. In addition, ICC Germany organizes local trainings and other events relating to the work and products of ICC. ICC Germany nominates potential members of the ICC International Court of Arbitration as well as the business leaders and experts who serve on ICC policy commissions.
