The International Association of Civil Engineering Students (IACES) was founded in September 1989 in Delft, The Netherlands. IACES’ aims are to promote contact between civil engineering students and professionals, to spread information to each other regarding any subject related to the field, to foster cooperation between governments, companies, and universities, to advocate for students in international maters which have potential effects on the field, and to encourage intercultural understanding and good will. IACES is represented in several countries in Europe as well as Africa and the Americas.
