Minnesota Math Corps combines the people power of AmeriCorps members with the science of learning. Trained AmeriCorps members are placed in elementary, middle, and junior high schools statewide to serve as math tutors for students in grades 4-8. Tutors work consistently with students in pairs, providing math support that’s tailored to each learner’s needs. Students who master core math skills are prepared for greater challenges in high school, college, and the workplace. By helping students to build skills, Minnesota Math Corps helps make sure every student in the state has a chance to succeed. Math Corps currently serves in nearly 100 Minnesota schools statewide. Math Corps members help 4th - 8th grade students who need assistance with math.
