The Uptown Collective is the voice of Washington Heights and Inwood online. We are a hyper-local site for the northern Manhattan neighborhoods of Washington Heights & Inwood. Our small but dedicated staff of paradigm shifters provide a comprehensive and cultured take on Washington Heights and Inwood on a daily basis. The neighborhood is currently undergoing a creative, social and business rebirth that I have dubbed the Uptown Renaissance, which is a nod to the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920’s. Our mission is to witness firsthand that resurgence, document it in real time and help to shape it.
