Interfaith Glasgow
www.interfaithglasgow.orgInterfaith Glasgow is an award-winning Scottish charity specialising in promoting and facilitating constructive engagement between different faith and belief communities in Glasgow, so as to help create a better-connected, safer, and more harmonious city for all. Believing that interfaith is for everyone, we organise a wide range of events and activities so that we can bring people together in ways that appeal to their interests, allowing them to connect more deeply with other individuals and communities. Our work focuses on three (often overlapping) forms of engagement: Friendship-building through social gatherings of various kinds, bringing people of all ages to meet their neighbours from diverse backgrounds, building bonds of friendship though familiarity and shared experience. Creating spaces for faith and belief dialogue, where people can be open with each other about values they cherish and their deepest held beliefs and practices, allowing mutual understanding and trust to develop. Increasing opportunities for people from different faith communities to work cooperatively to address issues of common concern, working together to tackle shared problems.
