An intelligent cell that can be profiled to match existing OEM designs to increase adoption and communicate individually to maximize performance. A key characteristic of DBL cells is the incorporation of electronics for 'conversion-less power' that controls the flow of electricity without slowing down the charging process. The DBL cells operate within an IoT environment in an array of cells within a battery pack. In an independent laboratory, DBL's innovative technology has achieved a round-trip efficiency of over 98% at temperatures ranging from -40°C to +80°C and charge rates up to 12C. A DBL cell can be charged in under 100 seconds as opposed to a lithium-ion cell which would take 3-4 hours. The DBL team is building modular, scalable energy storage systems that are intrinsically safe and can operate at extreme temperatures, unlike lithium-ion based technologies currently in use.
