Our medical directors coordinate and oversee all medical programs, provide policy and procedure leadership, participate in quality assurance and risk management, and act as an educational resource. CLAIM attending physicians augment our medical directors in their efforts to ensure patients are seen and examined in a timely and compliant manner. CLAIM’s nurse practitioners work in tandem with our medical directors and attending physicians to treat acute medical needs and reduce unnecessary hospitalizations. CLAIM NPs can also collaborate with non-CLAIM medical directors and attending physicians in a mutually convenient manner to ensure quality care. Our NPs are available to verify admission orders, write DNR / narcotic orders, cover physician’s regulatory visits as required, respond onsite to emergencies, manage ongoing follow-ups and respond after hours through on-call coverage for participating providers.
