Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers Illinois Institute of Technology Chapter aims to embody the mission and vision of the SHPE organization and empower the Hispanic community. SHPE-IIT works to provide its members with opportunities for professional development and help to develop the soft skills necessary for future jobs while giving back to the community. SHPE IIT is a part of SHPE Region 6. Mission: SHPE changes lives by empowering the Hispanic community to realize its fullest potential and to impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support and development. Vision: SHPE's vision is a world where Hispanics are highly valued and influential as the leading innovators, scientists, mathematicians and engineers.
