Beatsabar Music Project is dedicated to helping the disadvantaged and disenfranchised young people of Wolverhampton become engaged in worthwhile and rewarding activities through the medium of music. Ultimately our goal is to give these young people a focus which will increase their confidence, raise their self-esteem and help them make positive changes. Based at the former Sam Sharpe Studios at the Newhampton Arts Centre we have two fully sound proofed and equipped rehearsal studios, a recording studio boasting all the latest audio technology and a custom built vocal booth. The unit is fully accessible to the disabled and also has a disabled toilet. Our team includes two experienced engineer producers and a video producer. We can also provide drum and guitar lessons for all abilities, rock school courses using our team of experienced musicians (including brass and string players) and can tailor make projects to meet the needs of specific groups of young people. Although we only reopened the studio on March 1st 2014, we have already begun working with young people from several local youth organisations and also provide the use of our facilities at a discounted rate to vulnerable youths. We are also becoming involved with several arts projects around the city. The premises are professionally fitted by Studio Schemes and include: • 2 sound proofed rehearsal live rooms with multicore links to control room. • 1 sound proofed vocal room with multicore links. • 1 large sound proofed control room.
