Headway Tyneside was created following the merger of two brain injury charities either side of the Tyne. The two organisations merged in the summer of 2017 to improve the support available for people affected by brain injury. Headway Tyneside is affiliated to Headway UK – the national brain injury association. Headway Tyneside employ a community development officer who works with people affected by brain injury to develop services and to raise awareness of brain injury throughout the community.
