A local team of private citizens with a passion for aquatics has been working since 2014 to plan, fund, and construct a much-needed aquatic facility in the Greater Philadelphia region. The Philadelphia Aquatic Center has a three-fold mission: 1) To teach children to swim and help them develop through aquatic sports 2) To inspire excellence in competitive aquatics 3) To encourage lifelong aquatic fitness for people of all ages and abilities
