Rajshahi Polytechnic Institute was established on a 15-acre land in a beautiful environment adjacent to the Liberation War Memorial Stadium on the side of Rajshahi Airport Road in the northwest. The institute has seven academic buildings. The work of this institute was started in 1963 by the order of the then government. At that time education was taught in these two technologies, electrical and mechanical. Later, with the widespread expansion of technical education, civil, power, electronics, and computer technology were gradually introduced. In keeping with the technological advancement and development of the present world, there are a total of 6 departments including Mechatronics and Electromedical Technology. There is an urgent need to transform the educated unemployed at various levels and those deprived of access to higher education into skilled human resources through various trade-based training. In the context of the challenges of the 21st century and the demands of the new world order, it is possible to transform a large number of educated people in the country through short-term technical training in the field of information technology at home and abroad. Awareness and interest among the general public about training in short courses have been noticed. The expansion of trade-based training will help alleviate poverty in Bangladesh and address the challenges of the 21st century.
