Canberra United Football Club was a founder member of the Westfield W-League upon its formation in 2008. Canberra United is the Westfield W-League's most successful club, having won three Premierships and two Championships across the league's nine seasons. The W-League is a summer competition, run by Football Federation Australia, featuring nine clubs from all States and runs from October to February. Canberra United is the only stand-alone team without an A-League partner. 2017 saw the launch of the Canberra United National Youth League team.
