Expats Living in Rome was founded in 2001 by Patrizia Di Gregorio, an Italian-American, alongside other expats looking to connect. She envisioned forming a circle of friends who could communite and learn from their shared experiences of living in Italy. "We were only 7 or 8 people in the beginning, this was before we really had the internet" It has since grown into a strong off and online presence, with a sizeable social media following of over 20k members. We are now a community leader within Facebook's Community Leadership Circles. Our activities We host weekly social event apertifs, weekly language lessons, monthly special occasion events, and seasonal weekend day trips. Our website, community newsletter, blog and social media pages inform our network of local events and news, job listings, housing, social meet-ups, and other opportunities. Our online marketing outfit selects relevant sponsor businesses to connect with our members.
