Farm Energy Consulting Ltd provides advice for renewable energy and technical projects for farmers and rural businesses. We are based in the North East of Scotland and work, mostly in Aberdeenshire, but also in other parts of the North of Scotland. We assist with feasibility studies and then produce the information required for a full planning application. The company was set up in 2011 but is based on experience gained over the past 35 years. The type of projects that we can assist with include wind energy, biomass, biogas, solar, hydrogen and a variety of agricultural buildings and engineering projects. We now have two other allied companies: FEC Home and FEC Acoustics. FEC Home specialises in energy efficiency of traditional rural homes. We advise on draught detection, airtightness and renovations to make homes more comfortable and cheaper to heat. FEC Acoustics provides sound assessments for a wind range of rural projects. We use SoundPlan to show how sound will spread from a site and to design barriers and sound-proofing. Our assessments follow the relevant standard and Institute of Acoustics guidance.
