www.asset-sbit.nlAsset | SBIT was founded in 1984 by ten enthusiastic students of Information Management and has since grown to roughly 1650 members. Asset | SBIT joined the faculty association Asset Tilburg in 2008. Asset | SBIT is the student association for all students Business Economics (BE) and Information Management (IM) at Tilburg University and others interested in this field. Asset | SBIT provides its members with educational support, career guidance and informal activities. Study support is offered to its members in the form of guidance documents, summaries and thesis sessions. Second, Asset | SBIT’s members are provided with career guidance in various forms, including: Inhouse days, business dinners, SME-evenings, business tours and Business Cafés. Asset | SBIT provides the bridge between students, who wish to orientate themselves, and companies, who want to profile themselves. Thirdly, informal activities are organized where business partners have the opportunity to profile themselves. Last but not least Asset | SBIT organizes informal activities to make sure students get to know each other. Asset | SBIT hosts sbit.studle.nl, which aims to provide students of the minor and (pre-) master Information Management with free summaries of all relevant courses. Asset | SBIT also hosts IThappens.nu, a platform where committee members of Asset | SBIT post interesting articles on trending topics within Information Management. Recent topics were: User Data, Cryptocurrency, and Dark Data. Since Information Management and entrepreneurship are often combined, Asset | SBIT organizes an annual event on the topic of Entrepreneurship. The Entrepreneurship Event aims to show students what entrepreneurship is and that it is not always as hard as they might think. The topic for this year's Entrepreneurship Event will be "From IDEA to EXECUTION".
