Ophelias Place
www.opheliasplace.netOphelia's Place is a prevention-based nonprofit dedicated to helping girls make healthy life choices through empowerment, education and support. Based in Eugene, OR and serving Lane and Linn counties and beyond, Ophelia's Place empowers young women to make healthy, informed decisions about their many important life choices while growing up. We are a community for all girl-identified youth ages 10-18, no matter their backgrounds, statuses, or abilities. Our holistic approach to empowering girls includes 4 primary components: • Our After and Out-of-School Program includes after school drop-in at our girls-only sites, activities that explore whole girl health, G-TEC, expressive arts, academic enrichment, and parent-daughter events. • Our Full School Partnerships include girls empowerment groups, educator training, and classroom presentations to all students that cover topics like bullying prevention, digital decisions, media & body image, and building healthy relationships. • Our Therapy Program provides professional individual, family, or group therapy using a strengths-based, goal-oriented approach. • And our Parent Programming provides tools and resources that support parents while working with girls and the issues they face.
