Crookston Community Group (CCG) is a charity organization in the Crookston area of Glasgow, Scotland. The main goal of CCG is to create a sense of community in the Crookston area. The founders believe that their work will lead to more personal involvement and more cultural, educational and social activities in the neighborhood, which will create a better society and a better place for people to live in the future. The community in Glasgow strongly believe in the work of CCG. The organization has quickly gained members through small, organized parties and volunteers from all walks of life, who come to support the charity and jointly improve the neighborhood. Over the years, the Crookston Community Group has grown and many events and their food bank have become an important part of the neighborhood. All members of the community are happy and proud to have made a difference. We have recently received funding towards our new 'My Food Project'. This project aims to encourage food bank users and members of the local community to attend and participate in a food transformation project which includes a weekly demonstration of healthy cooking and eating drop in classes. Our main objective of this project will be to transition people away from dependency of food banks.
