The Maine Primitive Skills School is an Outdoor Educational facility that teaches wilderness survival, bushcraft, and primitive skills. Our Survival School teaches permaculture, nature education, foraging and herbalism as a means toward sharing skills in self reliance and sustainability. Our nature education involve wildlife tracking, native awareness skills, aidless navigation, understanding animal behavior and bird language as well as reading the forested landscape. Our staff and community have advised and appeared on Dual Survivor, Doomsday Preppers, and Naked and Afraid. We use wilderness survival as a starting point toward deeper nature literacy and self reliance. The result is a healthier you cultivating a healthier landscape toward resilient community and self reliance.
