At Find Your Forte, we picture a community where each child has access to quality music education and the opportunity to develop their minds through the gift of music, therefore helping to form a stronger, more connected, and more creative world. There are countless children in the foster care system who do not have access to quality music education. Research has repeatedly shown that music education provides a plethora of benefits in a child’s development, facilitating learning in other subjects and enhancing skills in many other areas. Not only that, music is also an enjoyable skill to possess and can be used for many opportunities in one’s lifetime. We strive to provide a stable environment where children feel comfortable and are able to develop their musical skills and understanding. We aim to accomplish this goal through piano lessons on a weekly basis, forming a reliable foundation for children in care. We strongly believe that music education should always be accessible and that every child deserves the opportunity to learn something that can be so beneficial for themselves and to those around them.
