The Collegiate Running Association (Collegiate Running/CRA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in November, 2013 with a mission to promote healthy lifestyles among college students by providing and expanding opportunities in the sport of running. As the first and currently only organization to offer prize money specifically reserved for college students in the sport of running, we offer national championship events in road, mountain, and trail running open to all college students enrolled in at least one course. As an organization we continue to expand opportunities and partnerships to ensure our mission as we move into the future. Since 2014 we have awarded over $120,000 in prize money and travel to college students. In 2019, for the 6th consecutive year, the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10K (4th largest 10K in the U.S.) hosted our Collegiate 10K Road Race National Championship and they will host again in 2020 and 2021! Since 2014, we've hosted 15 collegiate national championships in road, mountain and trail running. Those 15 events and event partnerships have attracted over 170,000 runners and of those, over 16,000 have been college students. This is shaping up to be another historic year with our national championships and race partnerships as we expand opportunities for college students.
