Xondas, Inc.
www.xondas.comFounded by researchers at the University of Michigan, Xondas Inc. is dedicated to advancing the state of the art in wireless power transfer. Xondas provides engineering consulting and conducts technology development to improve wireless power transfer products based on resonant magnetic induction. Xondas can significantly improve the safety and efficiency of resonant wireless power transfer systems by designing sophisticated emitters using our patented near-field technology, which allows for the tailoring of the radio-frequency magnetic field to an unprecedented degree. Such tailoring allows for higher efficiency, yielding less device heating, less RF exposure, and the ability to use smaller coils at a given charging distance. In addition, the near-field technology can suppress fringe magnetic fields in unwanted directions, without heavy shielding, for situations where RF exposure or EMI is a concern. Our near-field plates can be manufactured inexpensively using printed circuit board technology and off-the-shelf capacitors, and do not limit the power level or operating frequency of the overall system.
