The RightWay Foundation
www.therightwayfoundation.orgThe RightWay Foundation envisions a future where foster youth are afforded the necessary resources to thrive and build a better tomorrow; grounded in mental health and solidified through employment. The RightWay Foundation develops programs intended to aid emancipating foster youth and re-entry youth in building healthy, stable lives. Our programs address past trauma; support successful employment; and promote healing and self-sufficiency in adulthood. Our current programs include Operation Emancipation, Operation Second Chance, Operation Positive Parenting, and Operation Housing First. Foster youth and transition age foster youth enrolled in one or more of the above programs have positive, measurable outcomes. Below are some examples: --Compared to a 51% unemployment rate among California foster youth within 2-4 years of emancipation, 70% of RightWay participants secured employment/paid internships. --Compared to only 1% of California foster youth attending college, 24% of RightWay participants enrolled in college within the last year. --Compared to 36% of California foster youth become homeless within 18 months of emancipation, only 14% of RightWay participants experienced homelessness after taking part in our program.
