Board Connect, a dedicated service for the boards of arts, cultural and other non-profit organisations, began as an initiative of Brisbane consultancy firm, Positive Solutions. It was developed in response to a perception that boards of non-profit organisations have a need for ongoing advice, support and skill-development. Initially focused on the needs of arts and cultural organisations, its services now extend both into the broader non-profit sector and beyond the state borders, nationally. It has been a fully independent not for profit company limited by guarantee since late 2010.
