Wuha Sira – is a nonprofit charitable organization whose mission is to transform the lives of impoverished women, some of the most vulnerable members of Ethiopian society, by providing access to education and clean water. Wuha Sira’s vision is to empower the Ethiopian women of Dilla with the skills, tools, and knowledge they need to create a self-sustaining community. IE and Brown Business School Professor, Dr. Gayle Allard, who has a long-standing connection with the community of Dilla, through many trips with her International MBA students, was inspired to create a fundraising initiative to provide education and resources to the young women of Dilla. All of these people believe by educating women, communities can become stronger and more self-sustaining.
