The United States Government (USG) controls the export of goods, services, and technology as a way of maintaining our national security and promoting foreign policy objectives. As a result, all goods, services, and technology require prior written approval from the USG before they can be provided to a foreign company, person, or government. There are several regulations that govern the export of products, primarily the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
