Four Lakes Veterinary Clinic is an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited practice. This means we have certain standards of care for animals, treatment of employees, and maintenance of the hospital. We are a Fear-Free certified hospital, the first in Madison, WI. Fear-free means that we do all we can to help relieve your pet's anxiety during the hospital visit: calming pheromones in exam rooms, lots of different treats, calming music, "happy visits", low-volume vaccines, no scruffing cats or roughly holding dogs. If none of these things are enough to calm your dog, we will prescribe anti-anxiety medications to make future visits less stressful. We are a Cat Friendly hospital. We have separate cat exam rooms and dog exam rooms, as well as separate treatment areas. We are a full-service hospital: well pet and sick pet exams, vaccines, laboratory testing (both in-house and send out labs), digital x-rays, dental x-rays, dental procedures, surgeries, photobiomodulation treatment (class 4 therapeutic laser), and much more. We enjoy getting to know our clients as people and friends, not just the pet's owner. We enjoy working as a team and having fun practicing veterinary medicine.
