Bergen Shipowners' Association has close to 80 member companies totaling over 300 personal members. The Association is the largest, most active organisation of its type in Norway. Founded in 1899, it acts as a regional arm of the Norwegian Shipowners' Association and works closely together with Maritime Bergen and YoungShip. Bergens Shipowners' Association aims to ensure a good and strong shipping environment through social events. The Association promotes the interests of an industry in transition, highlighting shipping companies’ competence and importance in solving the challenges that society as a whole face in the journey towards increased sustainability.
