Design for a New Worldview As a graphic designer, I am uniquely positioned to be an agent of change. My work is to facilitate communication between my client and their clients, both current and potential. I strive to construct the clearest message and broadcast it to the right people, and by the most effective means. Utilizing a spectrum of environmentally sensitive processes and products, I am increasingly aware of how that message is fashioned and disseminated. The way we do business is changing by necessity and rapidly, as we examine our practices in terms of environmental footprint, taking into consideration greenhouse gasses, landfills, dwindling forests, and toxic chemical contamination. Good design must inspire more than just profit. As a member of the human community, I am compelled to deepen my understanding of our individual and collective values—leveraging them to discover innovative solutions for intricate challenges we face in these times.
